As data center backlash grows, another GOP governor draws a line
With the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act stalled, senators are vying for action on their bills to shield consumers from data center costs.
The vote gives House Republicans a bipartisan win on an issue that has become increasingly politically fraught ahead of the midterm elections.
The effort comes as Republican lawmakers are looking for some sort of relief at the pump less than 50 days out from the fall midterms.
