Hundreds of Palestinians have died in that offensive. On Wednesday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/least-82-killed-israeli-strikes-gaza-critical-aid-fails-reach-palestinians\" target=\"_blank\">at least 82 people were killed <\/a>in an Israeli airstrike, including several women and a week-old infant, according to Gaza&rsquo;s Health Ministry and area hospitals. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.idf.il\/en\/mini-sites\/the-hamas-terrorist-organization\/how-is-the-idf-minimizing-harm-to-civilians-in-gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Israeli military <\/a>has repeatedly said it does &ldquo;everything possible to limit civilian casualties in Gaza.&rdquo;)<\/p>\n<p>As the Israeli military carries out Netanyahu&rsquo;s order to take full control of the region, residents of Khan Younis, Gaza&rsquo;s second-largest city, were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/clyrqg6j4y8o\" target=\"_blank\">forcibly displaced<\/a>.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/clyrqg6j4y8o\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>People of all ages filled the streets, weakened by starvation and malnutrition, leaving with whatever they could still carry.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors Without Borders<a href=\"https:\/\/msf.org.uk\/article\/gaza-israels-aid-announcement-smokescreen\" target=\"_blank\"> called Israel&rsquo;s aid announcement<\/a> &ldquo;a smokescreen,&rdquo; writing: &ldquo;The Israeli authorities&rsquo; decision to allow a ridiculously inadequate amount of aid into Gaza after months of an air-tight siege signals their intention to avoid the accusation of starving people in Gaza, while in fact keeping them barely surviving.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>After days of delay, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/05\/22\/world\/gaza-aid-delays-israel.html\" target=\"_blank\">the United Nations confirmed<\/a> aid deliveries were reaching warehouses inside Gaza, but officials said the shipment was only a fraction of what was needed. Experts say it would take <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2025\/05\/21\/israel-gaza-aid-blockade-un\/\" target=\"_blank\">at least 500 aid trucks a day <\/a>to stave off total famine. Earlier this month, <a href=\"https:\/\/news.un.org\/en\/story\/2025\/05\/1163131\" target=\"_blank\">a U.N. study<\/a> concluded that 1 in 5 Gazans face starvation.<\/p>\n<p>As countries such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/americas\/uk-france-canada-threaten-israel-against-gaza-offensive-2025-05-19\/\" target=\"_blank\">Canada, France and the United Kingdom<\/a> speak out against the siege and blockade in Gaza, threatening &ldquo;concrete actions&rdquo; against Israel if it does not stop its new offensive, there has barely been a peep about it from the U.S. government.<\/p>\n<p>After days of delay, the U.N. confirmed aid deliveries were reaching warehouses inside Gaza, but officials said the shipment was only a fraction of what was needed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/donald-trump\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a> just returned home from a Mideast tour that didn&rsquo;t include Israel. Administration insiders have<a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/05\/20\/trump-wants-netanyahu-end-gaza-war\" target=\"_blank\"> told <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2025\/05\/20\/trump-wants-netanyahu-end-gaza-war\" target=\"_blank\">reporters<\/a> that Trump is tired of the war and frustrated with Netanyahu, with one telling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2025\/05\/19\/israel-gaza-aid-netanyahu\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Washington Post <\/a>that &ldquo;Trump&rsquo;s people are letting Israel know, &lsquo;We will abandon you if you do not end this war.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Notwithstanding those reports, the United States seems pretty checked out on the largest current humanitarian crisis in the world today. The Trump administration<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/05\/20\/world\/middleeast\/israel-allies-denounce-gaza-offensive.html\" target=\"_blank\"> has not publicly criticized<\/a> Israel&rsquo;s renewed offensive. And without action, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/FaceTheNation\/videos\/the-united-states-has-been-complicit-in-the-ongoing-starvation-in-gaza-says-sen-\/706169441922341\/\" target=\"_blank\"> S.
