The president also added that the megabill will include no tax on tips, Social Security and overtime. <\/p>\n<p>Speaker Mike Johnson is also projecting confidence, telling reporters just moments before Trump&#8217;s post that House committees will \u201c100%\u201d hold more markups over the GOP megabill next week. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never have doubts,\u201d Johnson said about the markup schedule after returning from a \u201cproductive\u201d meeting at the White House with top tax writers and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Johnson&#8217;s still targeting an ambitious timeline for the House to pass Trump&#8217;s megabill by Memorial Day.<\/p>\n<p>However, there are still no megabill markups officially scheduled for next week as various committee Republicans struggle to find agreement on how to cut Medicaid and a slew of other government initiatives.
