With just a week to go until Election Day, yet another member of a Republican political dynasty is throwing their support behind Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/a><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, Barbara Pierce Bush, daughter of former President George W. Bush\u00a0<\/a>and granddaughter of former President George H.W. Bush<\/a>, revealed she’s backing Harris in next week’s election. <\/a><\/p>\n

The former first daughter \u2014<\/strong> the fraternal twin sister of NBC \u201cToday\u201d anchor Jenna Bush Hager \u2014 <\/strong>spent part of this past weekend on the campaign trail, knocking on doors in battleground Pennsylvania<\/a> for the Democrat.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was inspiring to join friends and meet voters with the Harris-Walz campaign in Pennsylvania this weekend,\u201d Bush, 42, told People magazine.\u00a0\u201cI\u2019m hopeful they\u2019ll move our country forward and protect women\u2019s rights.\u201d<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time Barbara Pierce <\/strong>Bush has publicly broken with the Republican Party. In 2017, she was the keynote speaker at a Planned Parenthood fundraiser in Texas, <\/a>where she praised the organization’s work and stressed the need for its advocacy under the Donald Trump administration.<\/p>\n

While her father has made it clear he has no plans to endorse a candidate this cycle<\/a>, his former vice president, Dick Cheney, has already thrown his support behind Harris.<\/a> And Cheney’s daughter, former Rep. Liz Cheney<\/a>, R-Wyo., has appeared with Harris several times on the campaign trail in recent weeks. <\/a>Bush isn\u2019t the only former first daughter backing Harris. Susan Ford Bales, daughter of former President Gerald Ford, announced her support for the vice president last week<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
