As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/business\/trump-inauguration-sponsors-large-company-donations-a3cc1b92\" target=\"_blank\">The Wall Street Journal reported<\/a> Tuesday, citing donors and people familiar with the matter, companies that previously condemned the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/the-goods\/22227717\/brands-corporate-response-capitol-dc-riot-insurrection-mob-pac-donations\" target=\"_blank\">vowed to reconsider support<\/a> for politicians who rejected the 2020 election results &mdash; like Ford, Goldman Sachs and AT&amp;T &mdash; have similarly made large contributions to Trump&#8217;s 2025 inauguration. (A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2023\/01\/top-corporations-still-funding-election-deniers-january-6-insurrection\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mother Jones report last year<\/a> found several corporations, including AT&amp;T, gave money to at least one election-denying lawmaker during the 2022 election cycle after promising to pause contributions to such officials. Neither NBC News nor BLN has independently verified the Journal and Mother Jones reports.)<\/p>\n<p class>&ldquo;People just really want to move forward and move on. The election results were very clear,&rdquo; a representative at one of the companies mentioned in the Journal report told the outlet. The Journal did not specify which company employs the representative.<\/p>\n<p class>The donations to Trump&#8217;s inauguration have come at such furious pace that his inaugural committee is on track to raise more than $150 million, <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/trump-vance-inaugural-committee-track-raise-record-amount\/story?id=116918692\" target=\"_blank\">ABC News reported<\/a>citing sources familiar with the matter.<strong> <\/strong>That amount would dwarf the $62 million President Joe Biden&#8217;s inaugural fund raised in 2021 and surpass the $107 million in contributions to Trump&#8217;s inaugural committee in 2017. <\/p>\n<p>Donations to inaugural committees are not restricted by federal law. With Trump expected to make drastic changes to federal policies that oversee a host of industries, several corporate executives &mdash;&nbsp;including Amazon&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/elections\/jeff-bezos-amazon-plans-to-donate-1-million-to-trumps-inauguration-dc3705ac\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff Bezos<\/a>Meta&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/tech\/mark-zuckerbergs-meta-donates-1-million-to-trumps-inaugural-fund-32a999c1\" target=\"_blank\">Mark Zuckerberg<\/a> and Apple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-apple-tim-cook-tech-0a9fb8e6df321f6553c23b5138ff1f06\" target=\"_blank\">Tim Cook<\/a> &mdash;<strong> <\/strong>have already<a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/12\/14\/zuckerberg-cook-bezos-mar-a-lago-trump\" target=\"_blank\"> paid a visit to Mar-a-Lago<\/a> for some face time with the president-elect.
