Dan Bishop of North Carolina as deputy director of the OMB. Bishop lost his election in the North Carolina attorney general race in November.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDan will implement my cost-cutting and deregulatory agenda across all Agencies, and root out the Weaponized Deep State,\u201d Trump said in a Truth Social post.<\/p>\n<p>Bishop, a member of the Freedom Caucus, gave up his House seat to unsuccessfully run for attorney general after serving in Congress since 2019. He was previously a state legislator and lawyer.<\/p>\n<p>Trump also announced that he has chosen conservative activist Ed Martin as chief of staff at the OMB. Martin is the former chief of staff for Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt and ran for attorney general of Missouri in 2012.
