Max Miller took responsibility Tuesday for inadvertently releasing sensitive photos of the Ohio Republican\u2019s daughter in a trove of material Miller published Sunday in a bid to defend himself against <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/08\/01\/max-miller-abuse-divorce-gop-01021028\" target=\"_blank\">domestic abuse claims<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The attorney, Aaron Minc, took responsibility for the photo being released and called it \u201ccompletely unintentional and a mistake\u201d after a lawyer for Miller\u2019s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, accused Miller of disseminating the daughter\u2019s name and one image that \u201ccould be considered Child Sexual Abuse Material.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am solely responsible for what happened,\u201d Minc said in a statement. \u201cI was the only person responsible for assembling, creating, reviewing, adding, deleting, redacting, or making any changes to the information and files that were in this folder.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Minc apologized to Miller, Moreno and their families but also decried Moreno for creating \u201ca media spectacle regarding this unfortunate mistake \u2026 as a means to try to gain leverage in court and distract from the underlying evidence that exonerates Mr. Miller from the false allegations he is accused of.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miller posted the documents online Sunday after delivering a livestreamed defense against the claims leveled by his former wife, Emily Moreno. He has declined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.motherjones.com\/politics\/2026\/07\/assault-misogyny-verbal-threats-records-detail-new-allegations-against-rep-max-miller-bernie-moreno\/\" target=\"_blank\">all allegations of wrongdoing<\/a>, which include pouring hot water on his ex-wife, holding a gun to her head and breaking his daughter\u2019s collarbone.<\/p>\n<p>Moreno\u2019s lawyer Subodh Chandra claimed that the documents left the daughter\u2019s name unredacted and contained \u201cprivate images,\u201d including one where \u201cthe daughter\u2019s genitals appear to be visible,\u201d according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=0000019f-cd07-da05-af9f-ed8fa4cf0000\" target=\"_blank\">letter to Minc<\/a> obtained by Blue Light News. Chandra noted that the photo was later removed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe post with the link to the folder \u2014 published under your name \u2014 garnered over 204,000 views from the time it was posted until this afternoon,\u201d Chandra wrote.<\/p>\n<p>The letter from Chandra asks Minc, \u201cWhose idea was it to share this intimate image of the child?\u201d among other questions, giving a Wednesday close-of-business deadline.<\/p>\n<p>The letter marks the latest escalation in the legal battle between Miller and Moreno, who is the daughter of Ohio Sen. Bernie Moreno. After Miller delivered his livestreamed defense Sunday, the GOP senator denounced his former son-in-law, saying he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2026\/08\/02\/ohio-rep-max-miller-stay-in-race-01021642\" target=\"_blank\">should not serve in the House<\/a> and needs to seek professional help.<\/p>\n<p>Miller is running for reelection in a competitive Cleveland-area seat.
