The details of how the operation will work are still unclear, but Trump said the effort\u2019s leaders will remain outside the government.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/11\/15\/us-news\/why-elon-musk\/\" target=\"_blank\">Musk told attendees<\/a> at Trump\u2019s Mar-a-Lago resort Thursday evening that the incoming administration won\u2019t amount to business as usual. \u201cThis is going to be a revolution,\u201d Musk said.<\/p>\n<p>Musk and Ramaswamy have signaled how their team will work in social media posts this week.<\/p>\n<p>They\u2019re calling for \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/subscriber.politicopro.com\/article\/eenews\/2024\/11\/14\/wanted-small-government-revolutionaries-for-doge-team-00189669\" target=\"_blank\">small government revolutionaries<\/a> willing to work 80+ hours per week\u201d to join their effort.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to plans for a weekly livestream, Musk previously posted, \u201cAll actions of the Department of Government Efficiency will be posted online for maximum transparency.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He and Ramaswamy have suggested they\u2019ll be crowdsourcing ideas from the public about wasteful government programs.<\/p>\n<p>Ramaswamy has already singled out an energy regulatory agency as a possible target.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToo much bureaucracy = less innovation &amp; higher costs,\u201d he posted Friday on X. \u201cThat\u2019s a real problem with the FDA, Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), and countless other 3-letter agencies. They are utterly agnostic to how their daily decisions stifle new inventions &amp; impose costs that deter growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During his presidential campaign, <a href=\"https:\/\/subscriber.politicopro.com\/article\/eenews\/2023\/09\/13\/ramaswamy-eyes-75-cut-in-federal-workers-00115626\" target=\"_blank\">Ramaswamy pledged to eliminate<\/a> a handful of agencies, including the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
