Elon Musk\u2019s role in Donald Trump’s administration hasn\u2019t been announced, but the billionaire and Tesla CEO is already sharing some of his enthusiasm for the incoming president and his deregulatory desires on social media.<\/p>\n

Musk, who owns the social media platform X, has been posting regularly about politics, deregulation and incoming Trump administration personnel. The prominent Trump ally appears poised to play a significant role advising the incoming administration, and some social media posts indicate he is spending time at Mar-a-Lago advising the president-elect during the early transition.<\/p>\n

His public posts indicate how he might seek to shape Trump’s policies.<\/p>\n

Musk\u2019s biography line on X currently reads: \u201cThe people voted for major government reform.\u201d <\/p>\n

\u201cGovernment Efficiency FTW!!\u201d he posted Monday in response to a Republican lawmaker\u2019s suggestion that a GOP-led Congress should have bills to \u201cshrink government overreach\u201d on Trump\u2019s desk by the first day of his term.
Musk recently has posted criticism of the Education Department<\/a>, weighed in on the next Senate majority leader<\/a> and celebrated Trump<\/a> for selecting Tom Homan as his White House \u201cborder czar.\u201d<\/p>\n

He welcomed broad deregulation and government spending cuts<\/a> and reposted a comment<\/a> from Trump ally Vivek Ramaswamy saying that, \u201cA band of small-government revolutionaries will save our nation. It\u2019s the only way.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk said of Ramaswamy\u2019s remarks, \u201cAbsolutely! Would be interesting to hear recommendations for roles in the new administration for consideration by the President.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk also called for \u201cmaniacally dedicated small-government revolutionaries\u201d to join the incoming Trump administration.
Trump said in September that Musk had agreed to lead<\/a> a \u201cgovernment efficiency commission tasked with conducting a complete financial and performance audit of the entire federal government.\u201d<\/p>\n

Musk wouldn\u2019t officially serve in the Cabinet, Trump told Fox News<\/a> in October. \u201cHe doesn\u2019t want to be in the Cabinet. He just wants to be in charge of cost-cutting.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Trump transition team declined to share the details of Musk\u2019s expected role with the incoming administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cElon Musk is a once-in-a-generation business leader and our federal bureaucracy will certainly benefit from his ideas and efficiency.
