Nebraska Senate candidate Dan Osborn abruptly canceled a Tuesday fundraiser<\/a> that was set to be co-hosted by a Democratic operative who was mentioned in the recently released Jeffrey Epstein files as allegedly transporting young girls for the late convicted sex offender.<\/p>\n

Dana Chasin \u2014 a Rockefeller heir who advised Hillary Clinton\u2019s 2016 presidential campaign as well as former Sens. Tim Johnson (D-S.D.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.) \u2014 was listed on an invitation for the Washington event benefiting Osborn, who is running against GOP Sen. Pete Ricketts as an independent.<\/p>\n

His name appears in a March 2024 email<\/a> sent to a Justice Department attorney by Jeanne Christensen, a lawyer representing a young unnamed woman who alleged Chasin flew her on a private plane to Epstein\u2019s Manhattan townhouse for sex with powerful men. The email, which details allegations of sexual abuse, also mentions a second flight with Chasin but does not make a direct accusation against him.<\/p>\n

Christensen did not respond to an email seeking comment. A spokesperson for her firm, Wigdor, declined to comment.<\/p>\n

Blue Light News asked the Osborn campaign Tuesday afternoon whether it was aware of Chasin\u2019s name surfacing in the files. \u201cThis event has been cancelled,\u201d a spokesperson replied.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnyone who hurt kids or engaged in other illegal activity needs to be arrested and prosecuted,\u201d the statement continued. The spokesperson did not respond to a question about what vetting had been done of the co-hosts in advance of the event.<\/p>\n

Chasin \u2014 who has donated more than $2 million to Democrats since the 1990s, according to federal records<\/a> \u2014 did not respond to requests for comment. An invitation to the fundraiser listed tickets from $250 to $3,500.<\/p>\n

In recent weeks, Osborn has made numerous posts on X calling for justice to be served for Epstein\u2019s victims.<\/p>\n
