He is facing drug trafficking charges in New York.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I certainly would love to be able to personally tell him that we believe &mdash; the Venezuelan people, because this is a prize of the Venezuelan people &mdash; certainly want to, to give it to him and share it with him,&rdquo; Machado told Fox News host <span><a data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/video\/6387273934112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sean Hannity on Monday<\/a><\/span>. &ldquo;What he has done is historic. It&rsquo;s a huge step towards a democratic transition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Machado dedicated the prize to Trump, along with the people of Venezuela, shortly after it <span><a data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/nobel-peace-prize-oslo-41b6bff88e2d57af0917bcf778e132ad\">was announced<\/a><\/span>. Trump has coveted and has openly campaigned for winning the Nobel Prize himself since his return to office.<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to <span><a data-gtm-enhancement-style=\"LinkEnhancementA\" href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/venezuela-us-maduro-trump-opposition-machado-2d497c934d564e1c9d21376af1111e71\">governing Venezuela<\/a><\/span>  after Maduro&rsquo;s capture, though, Trump has so far backed someone else: acting President Delcy Rodr&iacute;guez, who served as vice president under Maduro. <\/p>\n<p>He&rsquo;s called Machado a &ldquo;very nice woman&rdquo; but said she doesn&rsquo;t currently have the support within Venezuela to govern.
