Rep. Jasmine Crockett on Sunday appeared to show little sympathy for her colleague Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene after the Georgia Republican announced her upcoming resignation from Congress.<\/p>\n

In an interview with BLN\u2019s Jake Tapper on \u201cState of the Union,\u201d the Texas Democrat, long a foe of President Donald Trump, said Greene\u2019s decision came after she was on \u201cthe opposite side of the president\u201d for only one week.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou’re on the other side of the president for one week, and you can’t take the heat?\u201d Crockett said. \u201cImagine what it is to sit in my shoes, to not only be on the opposite side of him, but to have people like her who are constantly fanning the flames of hate and imagine what those threats look like when you literally are someone like me.\u201d <\/p>\n

Greene announced Friday<\/a> she would resign from Congress early in 2026 following a fallout between herself and Trump.<\/p>\n

Greene, once a loyal ally of Trump, had become a sharp critic of both the president and her own party over disagreements on the Epstein files, health care and the government shutdown. Greene alleged she had begun to face threats after Trump called her \u201ca traitor.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Crockett on Sunday pointed out that multiple other Republicans, notably Reps. Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Lauren Boebert of Colorado, have also faced the president\u2019s ire in light of their support to release the files on the disgraced, deceased financier.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean, listen, he’s upset with Thomas Massie, and so he’s gone after him. He’s upset with Boebert, he’s upset with any Republican that actually signed the discharge petition,\u201d Crockett said. \u201cBut somehow they were able to weather the storm. Why is everyone else able to stand and you can\u2019t?\u201d<\/p>\n

Crockett and Greene\u2019s relationship has long been tense, at one point culminating in a confrontation<\/a> between the two during a House Oversight and Accountability Committee hearing last year.<\/p>\n

Still, Crockett had appeared to be showing some sympathy toward her congressional foe after Trump withdrew his support for Greene.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m here for you girl \u2026 I told you not to trust him \u2026 all he cares about is HIMself (and protecting pedos) he never loved you,\u201d Crockett tweeted at the time<\/a>.<\/p>\n
