We&#8217;re very frustrated by that,\u201d Johnson said at a news conference, adding that GOP leaders would meet soon to discuss options.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans have ramped up conversations about a new expiration date over the past week. GOP leaders in both the House and Senate are now eyeing sometime between Jan. 21 and March for the expiration of any deal to reopen the government.<\/p>\n<p>Senators are discussing a deal that could involved moving a package of funding bills alongside a new stopgap that would reopen government, along with a vote for Democrats on extending expiring health insurance subsidies.
