Vivian Jenna Wilson, the transgender daughter of Elon Musk, says she is leaving the U.S. over Donald Trump\u2019s return to the White House.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve thought this for a while, but yesterday confirmed it for me. I don\u2019t see my future being in the United States,\u201d she said in a Threads post on Wednesday<\/a>. \u201cEven if he\u2019s only in office for 4 years, even if the anti-trans regulations magically don\u2019t happen, the people who willingly voted this in are not going anywhere anytime soon.\u201d<\/p>\n

Twenty-year-old Wilson is estranged from her father, who poured hundreds of millions of dollars into Trump\u2019s campaign and has the ear of the president-elect.<\/p>\n

Trump has said he would restrict gender-affirming care, bar transgender women from women\u2019s sports teams<\/a> and keep transgender people from using facilities that align with their gender identity as president.<\/p>\n

Musk said in a July interview<\/a> that Wilson was \u201ckilled by the woke mind virus,\u201d and that he had been \u201ctricked\u201d into authorizing gender-affirming care for her.
