Trump administration launches new bid to pressure US oil companies on Venezuela
“The idea that American oil companies are just lining up to go invest in Venezuela is just flatly wrong,” he told Blue Light News’s E&E News.
The Energy secretary’s statement comes after the U.S. seized more cargoes of sanctioned crude.
The president said he would personally control the proceeds from the sales to ensure they are being used to “benefit the people of Venezuela and the United States.”
